Cathay Pacific First Class Lounge, London Heathrow (LHR), Terminal 3
Cathay Pacific’s lounge at London Heathrow is divided into a business lounge and a first class lounge. The business lounge is located to the right after you pass the reception, and the first class lounge is on the left, with the entrance opposite the reception desk.
The first class lounge has large panoramic windows providing excellent views towards the apron and the southern runway. Thanks to the natural light these windows allow in, the lounge feels bigger than it actually is. The décor is reminiscent of other first class lounges that Cathay Pacific operates, such as first class lounge, ‘The Pier’, in Hong Kong, with furniture in dark brown and beige. The furniture comprises of comfortable armchairs and sofas, with a number of armchairs lining the windows and offering a terrific vantage point.
Eating and Drinking
The lounge has a self-service buffet with simple hot meals, sandwiches, vegetables, fresh fruit and a small selection of desserts and cakes. The food is by no means spectacular but certainly provides ample opportunity for a full meal.
A fantastic range of drinks is also available; two kinds of champagne (including Veuve Cliquot), four red wines, four white wines, beers, spirits, soft drinks, coffee and tea.
Free WiFi is available in the lounge, along with a number of computers. The lounge also has a good selection of newspapers and magazines, as well as a TV showing mostly news.
Overall, a bright and elegant lounge with great views of the airport. An excellent range of drinks, fine champagnes and wines, as well as an adequate selection of food.
