The World’s 50 Best Bars is the drinks industry’s most prestigious and highly anticipated list. This year, a bar in the United Kingdom took the winning spot – but believe us, all of these bars are well worth a visit.
«The World’s 50 Best Bars» has since 2009 named the world’s finest bars. This year, for obvious reasons, the ceremony took place virtually. This year’s list includes bars from as many as 23 countries, with 11 new entries.
The winning title went to Connaught Bar – located in The Connaught Hotel in Mayfair, London, which traded places with the 2019 winner New York’s Dante.

According to the jury, it’s hard to think of a bar anywhere in the world that has made excellence so effortlessly routine as Connaught Bar. The jury appreciated that the bar isn’t trend-chasing and flash; instead it evolves from one year to the next, always delivering with poise and studied purpose.
According to Connaught Bar, guests steps into another world, where conversations flow over glittering glasses and mixologists conjure up both new and time-honoured classic cocktails.
One of the signature cocktails is their Martini, prepared from the bar’s special Martini trolley.
The «The World’s 50 Best Bars» list is voted by more than 500 drinks experts from across the globe. This year, the voting process was changed to highlight new bar scenes around the globe. The organisation appointed an outside chairman to 20 geographical regions around the world. Each chairperson then elected a voting panel for each region, which cumulatively formed the organisation’s voting academy.
