At last, the American hotel chain Hyatt will open its first property in Sweden, with Hotell Reisen becoming a member of «The Unbound Collection by Hyatt».
Hyatt is currently expanding in northern Europe. The hotel chain has previously announced that Grand Hansa Hotel in Helsinki, Finland will become a member of «The Unbound Collection by Hyatt» and has launched the plans for the opening of Hyatt Centric Reykjavík in Reykjavik, Iceland.
Hotell Reisen is currently undergoing extensive refurbishment and will officially become a member of The Unbound Collection by Hyatt in early 2021.
The hotel is located in the heart of Stockholm’s old town directly on the waterfront and on Skeppsbron, offering fantastic views overlooking Stockholm. As well as walking distance to many of Stockholm’s landmark attractions.
The building originates back to the 18th century, when it was a coffee house run by the Dutchman Fredrik Reiss, hence the name. As the coffee house became a popular meeting place for sailors, the family started renting out rooms for travellers in the early 19th century. Since then, the building has been a hotel.
