Mondrian has opened a brand new luxury hotel in Doha. It features one of the grandest ballrooms in Qatar and the largest ESPA spa in the world.
The Mondrian Doha is the famed luxury hotel brand’s first property in the Middle East. It aims to bring Mondrian’s characteristic glamour to Doha’s West Bay Lagoon area.
To celebrate the launch, Mondrian Doha will hold a black-tie grand opening celebration in late October that promises to be an outstanding showcase of the property.
The eye-catching hotel offers 270 rooms designed in collaboration with world-renowned Dutch designer Marcel Wanders and South West Architecture. There are five distinctive room categories including penthouse suites, studio suites, one and two bedroom suites and a range of standard guestrooms.
Located on the 23rd floor of the property, the penthouse suite offers incredible attention to detail combined with panoramic 360-degree views of Doha’s landscape.
The hotel features Wanders’ signature floating staircase, while locally-inspired features include custom-designed Dean Majilis sofas and a “cabinet of information”, which connects guests with the fascinating history and culture of the region.
The property also boasts the largest ESPA Spa in the world, with the 2,000 square metre facility featuring separate spas for men and women, eleven treatment rooms, a spa within the spa, and Hammam areas. Additionally, there is a 24-hour fitness centre.
The spectacular hotel is also a culinary emporium; with seven restaurants and bars, including CUT by Wolfgang Puck, Morimoto, Magnolia Bakery and a number of other ‘first to market’ concepts including Walima, a Qatari- inspired restaurant.
Additional hotel facilities will include an entertainment floor complete with a nightclub, rooftop pool and SKYBAR, as well as a variety of event spaces, such as the remarkable and expansive 2000m2 Moonstone Ballroom.
