BusinessClass.co.uk had high expectations for this somewhat intimate luxury hotel that opened in early 2017. In the ultra-competitive market of high-end London hotels, we really enjoyed the subdued atmosphere at this historic Grade II*-listed building. Four Seasons Hotel London at Ten Trinity Square is strategically situated at Tower Hill, in the heart of London´s City business district. We can happily confirm that the extensive 5-year restoration has done wonders to the building, inside and out.

Although not the largest with its 100 rooms, Four Seasons Hotel London at Ten Trinity Square is one of the most impressive hotel buildings we have ever been to, which is perhaps why it was used as a location for the James Bond movie Skyfall and the Lara Croft movie Tomb Raider. Four Seasons Hotel London at Ten Trinity Square gets a top rating from BusinessClass and represents a great choice if you are looking for a prestigious yet quiet luxury hotel in this part of London.

Four Seasons Hotel London at Ten Trinity Square is located by the Tower of London, one of the most popular tourist attractions in London, which it overlooks, with Tower Bridge just behind. If you have business in the City, then this is as close as you can get. Tower Hill tube station is just 30 seconds away from the hotel´s doorstep.

We tried both the entry-level Superior Room and the slightly more expensive Deluxe room. The Deluxe Rooms are larger and feature elegant bathrooms with a bathtub and a separate large shower. We will choose the Deluxe or the Premier Room category for our next stay. Try the Executive Room if you prefer an even larger, apartment-style room. The nine Heritage Suites on the ground floor benefit from generous five-metre-high ceilings and details from the building’s historical past.

We found service to be impeccable throughout our stay, as should be expected from any 5-star hotel worth its merit. Four Seasons Hotel London at Ten Trinity Square is a fairly intimate hotel, which we felt was reflected in the more personalized attention we received by the highly professional and friendly staff. We were greeted by name at the restaurant, and when asking for a filter coffee or Americano at breakfast, the waiter brought both to see which one we preferred.

The building itself is a grand 1922 Beaux-Arts building fronted by tremendous limestone pillars and with a magnificent tower on top. Inside, the interiors are also impressive. Although the hotel is not very big, with just 100 rooms, it all feels very stately, with a fine attention to detail. We particularly liked the art deco lamps in the stairways and the circular Rotunda lounge.

FS Ten Trinity Square Spa Reception

Rooms are decorated with heavy materials. Lots of wooden panels and fabrics in earthy colors, executive grey and gold trim. Large mirrors and marble baths are a welcome touch. Downstairs you find the 1,680-square-metre day spa that we pretty much had to ourselves during our stay. The spa’s reception walls are clad in real 24-carat gold and the spa features eight treatment rooms. There is a sauna, a steam bath and a 14-metre pool, as well as another, smaller pool that is kept at 32 degrees and offers hydro massages.

Dining at Four Seasons Hotel London at Ten Trinity Square is a wonderful experience. First and foremost we should mention the Michelin-starred Le Dame De PIC, hosted by the famous French three-star Michelin chef, Anne-Sophie Pic. We had lunch here and the three-course set menu was a delight – and a steal at just £39. Go there before they get another star and raise the prices. Rotunda is an impressive, circular art-deco decorated lounge & restaurant just inside the main lobby. Unfortunately, we did not get a chance to try it out, nor the Asian styled Mei Ume. Breakfast is a la carte.
