SAS “The London Lounge”, London Heathrow (LHR), Terminal 3
SAS and Air Canada have a communal lounge at Heathrow’s terminal 3 called “The London Lounge”. The lounge is also used by a number of other airlines, particularly airlines in the Star Alliance.
It is a nice lounge split between two floors and several different sections. Downstairs, where the entrance is located, is catered to guests wanting to work in the lounge. There is a selection of newspapers, computers, and workspaces. Downstairs also has both an SAS and Air Canada service desk where you can get help with check-in and ticketing matters.
Upstairs is aimed at those who want to relax. It houses a small library, a cinema room, several seating areas with TVs and video games to pass the time, as well as a playroom for passengers travelling with children.
Eating and Drinking
There are two buffets in the lounge, one downstairs and one upstairs.
The food offerings consist of bread with an assortment of toppings, fruit and vegetables, and instant noodles. There are also sweets, cakes and muffins.
On the beverage front, there is wine and beer (including Thai Singha, because the lounge is also used by Thai Airways), a smaller range of spirits, juices and soft drinks, and a good coffee machine.
For those who have plenty of time in the lounge, there is a range of facilities to pass the time.
There are a number of TVs in the lounge and the very nice cinema room upstairs offers a widescreen TV and excellent sound.
Several computers and free WiFi are also available in the lounge. For visitors who wish to work, the large business centre downstairs with workplaces provides a great spot.
