Emirates Lounge, Hong Kong International (HKG)
Emirates Lounge in Hong Kong is situated on a balcony above the general transit hall. It gives the feeling of being in an atrium because of the high ceiling and light coming into the lounge. It has a traditional Emirates lounge design, with the interior in beige and dark brown, and a good selection of food and drink. A nice detail is that the staff in the lounge are tasked with not only clearing tables and taking care of the buffet, but also to actively talk to the passengers and try to create a good atmosphere.
Eating and Drinking
The lounge does not have quite the same wide range of food as some other Emirates lounges, but still keeps a good standard. The self-service buffet offers hot food, cold cuts and cheese, desserts and snacks. There is also the opportunity to order simple hot dishes and sandwiches. Menus are available on the tables and dishes are ordered directly to the staff when they pass. The staff also regularly pass through the lounge to take beverage orders and offer refills.
There is a good range of drinks, with champagne, beers and wines, a variety of spirits, coffee, tea and various alcoholic-free beverages.
Free WIFI access throughout the lounge. A very good selection of international newspapers and magazines, as well as several TV’s. Showers and toilets are available in the lounge.
The front desk can help with service issues. The staff in the lounge are there to help with simple questions as well.
A bright and spacious lounge with a good selection of food and drink. An enjoyable aspect is the lounge staff who socialise with the guests.
