British Airways Galleries Club Lounge, London Heathrow (LHR), Terminal 5, B-piren
The lounges in the B-pier of terminal 5 are generally calmer and quieter than those found in the main terminal as the gates in terminal 5 are usually not announced until 45-90 minutes before departure (depending on the destination).
The design and structure of the lounge is the same as the lounges located in the main terminal, with a sleek and modern interior. The lounge is divided into sections catering to different purposes. Parts of the lounge offer views of the apron and the main terminal building.
Eating and Drinking
The lounge offers a very good selection of food and drink from the different sections of the lounge. ‘Chef’s Theatre’ serves a variety of hot meals, sandwiches, soups, meats, yoghurt with müesli, and pastries. The offerings vary depending on the time of day. In ‘Coffee House’ you find a coffee machine and baked goods, and ‘Wine Gallery’ has a number of wines available for self-service. At the far end of the lounge ‘Silver Bar’ offers various spirits and a long bar with water and juices.
The lounge houses a business centre complete with computers and free WiFi is available throughout the lounge (password available on the departure screens in the lounge).
There is a good selection of newspapers, several TV sets, as well as a service counter and play corner.
The lounge also has an ‘Elemis Spa’ which offers travellers in British Airways Club World and First a free massage.
Overall, a stylish lounge with an excellent range of food and drink. Unfortunately, the lounge is only accessible to passengers departing from B-pier, where gates are advertised a relatively short time before departure.
