In celebration of Global James Bond Day on October 5, the Pulitzer Amsterdam is offering a ‘Live Like James Bond’ weekend package.
The two-night package includes luxurious accommodation in one of the hotel’s recently renovated suites and a James Bond-style adventure throughout Amsterdam – the city Bond’s travels to Amsterdam in Diamonds Are Forever.
The experience begins when your personal limousine chauffeur picks you up from the airport and whisks you to your hotel. Upon arrival at the 5-star Pulitzer Amsterdam, you will then be awarded your customary martini – shaken, not Stirred, of course.
The package also includes a tour of the winding canals on Pulitzer Amsterdam’s private boat – The Tourist – with stops to view the Skinny Bridge and Reguliersgracht 36, which are both featured in the 1971 film Diamonds Are Forever, in which Bond disguises himself as a diamond smuggler and travels to “The City of Diamonds” in pursuit of a criminal.
After exploring the canals by boat, you can then sit down to a posh three-course dinner at Jansz, the hotel’s restaurant.
The following day you will be taken on an exclusive after-hours tour of local jewellers Gassan Diamonds complete with a limousine ride and meet-and-greet with the management team. During the tour, you will learn about the process of crafting the perfectly cut diamond and the city’s diamond history. You’ll then get a goodie bag and a private limousine or boat ride back to the hotel.
The ‘Live Like James Bond’ package begins at €549 for a room of two, and can be booked until September 23 for stays from October 6 or October 7 for two nights.
