The luxurious Cotswold House Hotel & Spa in Chipping Campden has been awarded Two AA Rosettes following a recent inspection and a period of investment across a range of public spaces and bedrooms.
Described by the AA as “a property with many strengths”, the four-star report singled out the hotel’s food and the recently refurbished “Fig” restaurant as highlights of the updated 4-star hotel.
The report also praised the new menu, which includes an eclectic mixture of British classics such as Slow Cooked Guineafowl and Roast Fillet of Turbot, alongside Mediterranean favourites such as Grilled Octopus and Marscapone al Limoncello, reflecting the Italian heritage of Head Chef Pasquale Russo.
“Following substantial investment and soft re-launch in October 2016, Cotswold House has been hugely well-received by both journalists and guests alike”, commented General Manager, Craig Webb.
“I am immensely proud of the hard work and passion displayed by the team, not just in terms of the vastly refined dining experience we now offer, but equally our front of house and housekeeping staff, all of whom have strived to take our offering to the next level. This recognition from the AA, alongside the positive feedback from our local and visiting customers, is a testament to that.”
Alongside 28 guest rooms and an award-winning spa, Cotswold House features two distinct dining options, with the fine-dining “Fig” Restaurant complemented by the informal “Bistro On The Square”, offering a menu of tapas and sharing platters alongside coffees, teas, a wide range of wines, as well as the finest collection of gins in town.
