Cathay Pacific is to trial an on-demand dining concept in Business Class.
As part of the Chinese airline’s review of its Business product, during May and June 2017, Cathay Pacific will, on select routes, have a specially trained cabin crew on board to provide the flexible dining service.
Following consultations with hospitality experts over the past few months, Cathay will debut the trial of the concept on the Hong Kong-London Gatwick route, served by a three-class A350, from 1st May to 31st May. It will then be tested on the Hong Kong-Chicago service from 1st June to 30th June.
The trials will then be evaluated, with passengers’ preferences and cabin crew feedback being taken into account. The two routes will resume their regular dining service after the trial period has finished.
There are no confirmed rollout dates as of yet.
