A stone’s throw away from Passeig de Gràcia and Plaça Cataluña, the stunning 5-star Almanac Barcelona is sure to get set pulses racing in the Catalan capital when it opens its doors come November 1. The chic property is the first in a collection offered by Almanac Hotels – equally luxurious boltholes are opening in Vienna, Budapest, and Prague to over the next few years.

With 91 stylish rooms and suites, the Almanac Barcelona is sure to be a high-end hot spot in a city that’s loved by jet-setters and savvy travellers.

Comprising two distinctly different neighbouring buildings, which have been combined into one seamless hotel experience by local firm OAB Office of Architecture, the hotel features a wealth of textures and materials throughout to create a sense of tranquillity and sophistication. Barcelona-based Jaime Beriestain Studio is responsible for the interior design, making use of muted and gold tones along with accents of oak and walnut to provide a feeling of warmth.

The hotel’s 61 rooms and 30 suites are richly appointed with modern amenities to create a residential feeling of discreet refinement. A select number of rooms feature Juliette balconies or terraces. Several rooms can be connected creating multi-room suites.

A relaxed dining experience can be enjoyed at Línia, the hotel’s Mediterranean brasserie, which offers an all-day dining and sharing menu, killed barmen serving a select cocktail menu, and a fine choice of regional wines and the sherry of Jerez. Guests can access the restaurant directly from Gran Via or through the hotel.

Additional amenities include two private dining facilities, fitness and wellness facilities, and a rooftop lounge and wading pool.
